En quelques mots...

We are Jamila Ait Akka and Benedicte Clarkson, we’ve known each other for over 15 years. We met in London where we were both volunteers for a British charity called « The British Moroccan Society » which is still our charity of choice for the rally. We have participated 3 times in the RAG in the past and our best result is 23rd in 2015.
Jamila now lives and works in Meknes whereas Benedicte shares her time between London and the South of France with her husband and 25 year old son.
We were good friends when we decided to participate in our first rallye in 2012. The challenges of the rallye can make or break a friendship and in our case, it gave us an unbreakable bond. We still reminisce and laugh at our misadventures. We decided to participate a 4th time to celebrate my 60th birthday in 2020.Instead we'll celebrate my 62nd birthday!

British Moroccan Society

DESCRIPTION

The British Moroccan Society is dedicated to the promotion of links and mutual understanding between the two Kingdoms. they achieve this by providing opportunities for social, cultural, educational, business and charitable activities.
Talks, film shows, business lunches, seminars, art exhibitions, Moroccan evenings, annual dinners as well as receptions at the House of Lords and the House of Commons, have brought the Society’s members together.

The Society supports small charities all over Morocco, mainly to help education for small children and women in rural areas and in big cities.
