The Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles du Maroc is the only rally raid in the world to make a serious social and environmental commitment leading to ISO 14001 certification.

The concept of the Rallye has Always been unique. As performance is not based on speed, CO2 emissions are lower than those of a traditional rally.
The winning team is the one that drives the shortest distance : “eco-driving is encouraged and rewarded”.
All non-recyclable waste is incinerated, leaving Nothing behind.
The empty water bottles consumed during the event are recycled by Cœur de Gazelles.
International ISO 14001 : 2015 certification guarantees that MAIENGA has implemented an Environmental Management System (EMS) aimed at systematically integrating the environment into its management and actions.
The accredited independent certification body SGS audits both MAÏENGA and the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles every year on location in Morocco, verifying compliance with the required systems and standards. With this action, we hope to serve as an example in the world of sports event : an example set by women… ALWAYS PIONEERS !

SOCIAL COMMITMENT – CŒUR DE GAZELLES
A registered non-profit organization since its creation in 2001, Cœur de Gazelles uses the logistics and infrastructure of the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles to implement community projects that meet the needs of the local populations. Thanks to a traveling medical caravan that moves from village to village in parallel with the competition, more than 8,000 free medical consultations are provided every year to people who have no access to medical care.
With its team of 60 dedicated doctors and staff specializing in the fields of general medicine, paediatrics, gynaecology, ophthalmology, dermatology, dental medicine and pharmacy, the association offers free health care and assumes responsibility for a patient’s care and follow-up when a medical problem is detected.

The organization works year-round on project in several areas
- Education, with the construction of a school in Tamsguidat.
- The environnement and sustainable development, with an eco-caravan that educates local populations about the problems caused by plastic bags, a real national scourge in Morocco, and replaces them with reusable cotton bags. Plastic bottles collected at the Rallye are used to build solid houses with excellent thermal insulation.
- Job training and job creation for women, with the introduction of literacy classes in the village of Tamsguidat, and the opening of a training restaurant in Essaouira where isolated women can learn a trade in order to earn a living.
- Access to water, with the construction of 22 wells close to Nomad settlements.

SER CHARTER
MAÏENGA has built its development on values such as courage, generosity, solidarity, respect and loyalty, and is committed to the implementation of these principles through a “SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY CHARTER”.
This charter forms the basis of the relationship of trust that must exist between the company and its clients, suppliers and staff. The goal of the charter is to formally define these essential principles and standards, allowing anyone to refer to and comply with them under any circumstances.
